Amanda and I got off to an interesting start when she called me a quack to my face.  At her wits end, dealing with chronic hip and back pain that was robbing her of running, the potential for a second child, and contributing to emotional swings due to pain, we created some common ground.  Adding to her frustration was the chronic ear infections her daughter was experiencing with no answers except more antibiotics and tubes.
