DURING THESE 3.5 HOURS YOU WILL LEARN:

  • 1

    10:30 – 11:45

The current state of disease and health challenges facing people in reproductive age caused by autonomic imbalance, adrenal dysfunction, immune imbalance, insulin resistance, and chronic inflammation. Definitions and terminology: Epigenetics, Preconception planning (CDC/WHO and Functional Medicine), Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHD), H-P-T-A-G axis dysfunction – latest research and clinical pearls from a lifestyle and functional medicine perspective.

  • 2

    12:00 – 1:15

This part will dive into the world of methylation and the possible and potential epigenetic factors from physical, chemical, and emotional means that overwhelm these pathways. SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms) like MTHFR, COMT, MTR, etc will be discussed and reviewed. We will discuss what these are and how they relate to every day practice, effects on brain and neurological development, hormonal problems, and ways to identify them with solutions to support them.

  • 3

    1:30 – 2:30

The final hour will be spent on looking at functional lab ranges, analyzing labs in relations to each other opposed to separate systems, and reviewing lab tests that can give more insight into recognizing major patterns of dysfunction in the CBC and CMP.
